Your account and purchases

Account records include your name, email, password hash, contact details, profile picture if supplied, saved addresses and payment preferences. Orders include items and selected options, totals, delivery information, payment references and status. We also keep reviews, feedback, account appeals, privacy requests and the version and time of terms acceptance.

Name, email and authentication details are needed for an account; order and delivery details are needed to fulfil a purchase. A profile image, review, feedback rating, optional browsing history and optional cookie categories are discretionary. Without an optional category, its related browsing feature may be unavailable; essential checkout remains available.

Payment information

Payment authorization takes place through the payment provider’s checkout. MPWR records order totals, payment status, and transaction references to match payments to orders.

Saved payment preferences can include a Mobile Money number or a card label and last four digits. MPWR’s checkout does not collect your full card number, PIN, or card security code.

Cookies and browser storage

MPWR uses a session cookie for sign-in and browser storage for shopping features. Strictly necessary storage supports your session, cart, checkout, account services you request, and your cookie choices.

Optional categories start off until you enable them. Performance controls optional search analytics and attribution. Functional controls recent searches, recently viewed products, and saved catalogue ordering. Targeting & personalization controls local product-interaction signals used for recommendations. MPWR currently does not load third-party advertising trackers.

Manage your cookie preferences to enable, reject, or withdraw optional categories. Changes apply when saved and are remembered on this browser for 180 days. They do not automatically follow you to another browser or device.

Turning a category off clears its associated optional history, identifiers, or recommendation signals on this browser. It does not erase analytics previously received or necessary order records. Cart items, wishlists, and saved account details remain available.

You can also manage site storage through your browser. Clearing all site data may sign you out or remove locally saved preferences. Optional categories return to off if your consent record is removed, expires, or cannot be read.

Images and public reviews

Profile pictures and uploaded images are stored by MPWR’s media service. Product reviews, star ratings, purchased options, review images, and MPWR’s public replies may be visible to other shoppers.

Keep passwords, payment credentials, and private details out of reviews and uploaded images.

Manage your information

Use My Profile to update your account details, My Shipping Address to manage saved addresses, and My Payment Options to manage saved payment preferences. Your History page includes controls for clearing browsing entries.

Why we use information

We use account, contact, and order information to provide the shopping services you request, process payments and deliveries, answer support requests, and protect accounts. With your optional cookie choices enabled, shopping activity helps us understand how the store is used and improve recommendations.

We rely on the applicable basis for each purpose, including providing your requested service, complying with legal duties, and consent where required. You can contact us to ask about a particular use or withdraw consent where the use depends on it.

Service providers and transfers

Our integrations include Pesapal for payment processing, Resend for account emails, Cloudflare R2 for uploaded media, and Google Maps for supported address or distance services. The providers used depend on the feature and deployment. Delivery partners receive the contact, address and parcel details needed to deliver an order. Hosting, database and backup operators support the shop. Support through WhatsApp uses WhatsApp’s service.

Payment details entered on a provider’s checkout are also subject to that provider’s notice. Media links may be accessible to anyone with the link; do not upload confidential documents, payment credentials or identity documents to reviews or feedback.

Some providers operate outside Uganda. Ask MPWR for the recipients, locations and transfer arrangements relevant to your request. We do not describe an integration as certified or a transfer as approved merely because it is present in the website code.

Retention and security

Account information is retained while the account is used and reviewed when deletion is requested. Orders, payments, refunds and related complaint records can need longer retention for fulfilment, accounting, disputes or another applicable legal duty. A deletion outcome will identify any records retained and the reason; it is not a promise to erase every transaction immediately.

The sign-in session lasts up to seven days. Password-reset links expire after one hour and verification links after 24 hours. Cookie choices expire after 180 days. Optional history and recommendation storage is cleared on this browser when its category is disabled; otherwise it remains until cleared or the browser removes it. Local storage has no automatic browser expiry. Clearing a category does not delete server reports already received.

We use password hashing, authenticated account access and role restrictions. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Contact MPWR about suspected unauthorized access. Retention and deletion of server records, media and backups requires review across the relevant systems; contact us for a record-specific explanation.

Your choices and rights

Request access, correction, deletion or review of an objection through Privacy requests or contact kahumajk@gmail.com or +256 752 296121. We may verify identity and redact information about other people. Access requests are handled promptly and within the applicable statutory period, normally no later than thirty days after receipt. We explain a refusal or a retention requirement.

You can withdraw optional browsing consent in Manage Cookies, object to direct marketing, and ask for human review of a decision affecting you. Recommendation sorting does not decide whether you are entitled to a legal remedy. You can complain to Uganda’s Personal Data Protection Office; contacting us first is not a waiver of that option.

Children and marketing

The shop is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Do not create an account for a child or upload a child’s personal information. Contact us if such information has been submitted so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Accepting shopping terms does not subscribe you to promotions. Service messages about your account, payment or order are separate from promotional messages. If you receive marketing from MPWR, you can ask us to stop it using the contact details above.
